HINDAMME's SEASON VI introduces a full spectrum of expressive and pop infused contemporary designs inspired by the concept of ‘Travel’. The collection presents a cohesive integration of elevated yet functional pieces, from the more industrial such as the nylon padded & aptly named ‘Traveler Vest’ and bowling shirts, to the loose silk twill shirts with eye-catching prints, futuristic second skins with gloves, as well as more tailored pieces such as pinstripe double breasted boxy blazers & pleated pants and a glittery show-stopping womenswear range produced from crystal that include an asymmetrical maxi dress, mini skirts and chokers. “I designed this collection very much in an interchangeable format, where all the pieces are color coded and every piece from the collection can be easily matched together with any other piece” designer Mohammed Khoja explained. Drawing on HINDAMME’s East meets West approach as well as the collection’s inspiration, SEASON VI also introduces five hero pieces that celebrate Saudi Arabia’s opening of tourism to the world, buttoned shirts made of pure silk twill that feature various eye-catching commissioned water color based artworks and depict the five main regions of Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern Province, Aseer and Al Ula. In collaboration with Saudi Arabian based tech company, NUQTAH, each of the silk shirt designs also features a woven label with a QR code that includes an editioned artwork of the region and takes the user on an immersive journey to discover the respective region of the shirt. The art style photography editorial shot by Amman based artist, Zaid Allozi, also integrates a commission of hand written pieces of poetry by world renowned Saudi contemporary artist, Rashed Al Shaishai and also reflects the artists love of traveling and escapism.
